Job Objectives
We are seeking applications for the role of Deputy Operation Manager who will support the Centres Operation Manager on a full time, fixed term contract. The role will suit experienced candidates with strong organisation and management skills, who will support with the execution and delivery of duties within the centre daily in line with regulations.
This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
- The Deputy Operations Manager is responsible for providing the highest quality of care and support to residents living in the Community Residence.
- The Deputy Operations Manager manages the team members to provide support to residents, and coordinates the input required from other individuals such as members of the Clinical Team and other departmental supports as required.
- The Deputy Operations Manager has daily interaction with residents and the team members.
- The Deputy Operations Manager promotes early intervention and support to minimise duration of mental illness and promote wellbeing.
- The Deputy Operations Manager provides mentorship and leadership to the team daily. Formal supervisions, appraisals and monthly team meetings also take place under the control and supervision of the Operations Manager.
- The Deputy Operations Manager reports into, and is supported by, the Operations Manager. The Director of Operations (Mental Health) will also provide support, and this may include access to resources, support with queries and / or challenges involving residents, team member issues, regulation requirements etc.
- Promote & nurture individualised care planning using keyworker systems and shared goal setting.
- Promote a โrecoveryโ focussed service which sees the individual potential in everybody that is supported by the service.
- Identify supports and work in partnership with the resident, their family and other supports as outlined within individual plans and risk assessments.
- Support the development and implementation of relevant documents outlining supports for residents including personal plans, standard operating procedures etc.
- Lead and develop teams through best practice performance management systems and supports, dealing with any issues/difficulties relating to team members as they arise.
- Lead team to work constructively. Motivating team members and residents, as appropriate.
- Encourage development of self and others through appraisal and supervision processes.
- Identify training needs with team and facilitate adherence at training as necessary.
Skills Requirement
Qualificaiton
- Level 7/8 Degree or working towards degree in Social Studies (or suitable equivalent qualification with a management qualification in Healthcare).
Knowledge
- Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
Experience
- Full Clean Driverโs licence.
- 3 years minimum managerial experience within a similar social care setting.
